Aldiko e-reader redux

I posted an article previously regarding the Archos 70 Internet tablet and the Aldiko e-reader application. In that post I outlined how best to configure the reader. Since that post I have found a much better method.

Have you ever had a 'Duh...' moment? This was one of those. When you purchase the Archos device it comes pre-loaded with AppsLib as the full Market has not been cleared for tablet devices yet. Out of curiosity I loaded the application from their library and it appears that the application there (at least the Aldiko application) are modified to account for the soft-buttons.
Here is a link to AppsLib: http://appslib.com/
So, if you have installed from the Google Market, do yourself a favor and install AppsLib and install the Aldiko application from there.

I have tested to ensure that AppsLib is compatible with the Google Market and I have noticed no adverse effects.

Happy reading!

  1. AppsLib2 is already preloaded on the new Archos 2.0.71 firmware, if you can download it through Archos download page
